ASCII Art

The idea of ASCII art is quite simple. You have to split image for areas and map darkness of are with table of symbol’s darkness.

But what about plotting?

You cant just get text and plot it as symbols, you have to transform it to single line symbols. With Processing (tool that I use to make generative art) it’s not so easy. The main problem is to get right font type and match font size. Unfortunately I didn’t solve it well so I did workaround. I used simple (not single line) font and process result with Inkscape. The final result it quite good.
